This is definitely a great start...you seem to know more than you are letting on. Just think of organization. How does this all work together?
You also have to think if there is a part of the photo that you are using that you want to show through or not.

it looks real to me. i like it a lot. i just think you should check your typos. It should probably be "Today's" Pirate with the apostrophe and also down the bottom it says "while your still young" and it should be "while you're still young". Other than those tiny things, I think you did a really good job.
